Primary Care Physician

IMCES currently provides Mental Health and Case Management from our clinic, but is expanding services to include
primary and chronic condition care and, in the future, a medical mobile unit. This is a rare opportunity to participate
from the ground up in structuring and serving new clients. Candidate will work closely with or Medical Director,
Executive Director and Management team to plan and implement services, policies and procedures to meet
professional standards. Candidate will provide primary care and chronic care.

Professional Job Responsibilities for Medical Doctor (MD) include:

  • Assumes primary health care of indigent of various ethnicities at Community Clinic and Mobile Unit.

  • Provides services for chronic conditions such as cardiopulmonary, Type II diabetes and/or obesity; Sexually transmitted diseases including HIV/AIDS and hepatitis; Substance Abuse; Arthritis; and Chronic pain.

  • Follows established medical standards, procedures and practices.

  • Performs comprehensive physical examinations.

  • Administers or orders diagnostic tests.

  • Develops and implements patient management plans.

  • Documents progress notes, charting and other documentation.

  • Treats common episodic and health care conditions with an emphasis on health maintenance.

  • Refers patients to specialist for consultation.

  • Works as part of an interdisciplinary care team coordinating primary care, social work and mental health disease prevention, as needed.

 

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
Valid California Medical Physician license.

Salary will be commensurate with the experience of candidate. IMCES recognizes excellence and performance by
